Model B reaction scheme in which ${\mathrm{H}}_2{\mathrm{GA}}^{2-}$ reacts with iron(II) ions. This forms a coordination compound ${[\mathrm{H}}_2\mathrm{GAFe}]$, which later irreversibly oxidizes into [H${}_2$GAFe]${}^{+}$.
