(A) Schematic representation for the synthesis of PG-AuNPs and (B) PG-ZnONPs. Synthesis of PG-AuNPs was carried out by mixing a PG solution and aqueous gold (III) chloride trihydrate (HAuCl4.3H2O) with a pH of 8.5–9.0 under stirring conditions at 50–60 °C. Similarly, the synthesis of ZnONPs was carried out by mixing a PG solution with a solution of Zn(CH3-COO)2.2H2O (20 mM) under continuous stirring conditions at 70 °C.
