CDE and DDC diet-induced chronic liver injury in mice models

(A) Timeline diagram of chronic liver injury model induced by the CDE diet and DDC diet. A group of C57BL/6 male mice were given Choline-Deficiency, Ethionine supplementation diet, or 3,5-Diethoxycarbonyl-1,4-Dihydrocollidine diet, and liver samples were collected after 3 weeks. (B) Representative photomicrographs of liver tissue sections in CDE and DDC diet-induced chronic liver injury. H&E staining shows the tissue morphology, and Sirius scarlet staining shows the degree of liver fibrosis. (C) Serial liver sections from the control group and mice on the CDE diet and DDC diet for 21 days were stained with specific antibodies against CK19, PCNA, and Desmin. Original magnification, ⅹ100, as indicated.
