Relative of MMP-2 and-9 activity in kidney tissue isolated from ACE KO mice treated with AAI. (a) The kidney tissue MMP-2 activity was determined by gelatin zymography. About increased MMP-2 was found in the AAI-treated ACE KO mice compared with those detected in without treated. MMP-2 activity increased with the longer disease development. (b) Decreased kidney tissue MMP-9 was found in AAI treated ACE KO mice group compared with those without treated group, and longer disease development showed more decrease in MMP-9 activity. The mice were treated 10 mg/kg/3 days AAI for two and four weeks.
