IL-1β release was dependent on the activation of caspase-1 after V. alginolyticus infection. (A, B) Macrophages were pretreated with 100 μM Ac-YVAD-CHO or 10 μM Z-VAD-FMK for 1 h and then infected with V. alginolyticus with MOI of 1 for 12 h; the protein expression levels of pro-caspase-1, caspase-1 p20, and IL-1β p17 were detected by Western blotting, and the IL-1β level band gray value with ImageJ, and the relative gray value was calculated through normalizing to β-actin.
