COL1A1 maintains the proliferation of BSMSCs. (A) Knockdown COL1A1 significantly decreased COL1A1 expression level in GM and DM3, (B) resulting in a significant decrease in the expression level of mRNA in Pax7 and a significant increase in the expression level of mRNA in MyoD, (C–D) but the protein expression levels of Pax7 and MyoD were significantly decreased. (E–F) EdU assay was performed at 24 h after transfection. The number of EdU-positive cells (E, ×200; scale bars 250 μm) and EdU labeling index (F) were decreased with COL1A1 knockdown.
