Under salt and drought stresses, the overexpression of OsIAA18 upregulated the expression of abiotic stress-responsive genes involved in ABA signaling, proline biosynthesis, and ROS scavenging, leading to increased ABA sensitivity to exogenous ABA and proline accumulation, finally enhancing salt and drought tolerance.
