The effect of increasing concentrations of activator dianion on T100’A (Figure 4A–4D) and D37G (Figure 4E–4F) variant OMPDC-catalyzed decarboxylation of FO ([FO]_o = 5 mM) to form product FU for reactions at 25 °C, pH 7.0 (10 mM MOPS) at I = 0.15 (NaCl). The slopes of these linear correlations are equal to (k_cat/K_m)_obs (M⁻¹ s⁻¹) for variant-catalyzed decarboxylation at the specified concentration of activator.
