The timeliness spread of individual EWS indicators across a range of countries, grouped by continent (‘other’ consists of Africa and the Middle East). Points represent the number of days that an EWS was detected prior to estimate nonlinear case increases. Failed detections are not plotted. EWS indicators include autocorrelation (acf), variance (s.d.) and skewness (skew).
