Multispectral optoacoustic tomography (MSOT) of vascular malformations. a Novel hybrid MSOT/US technique was shown to enable distinction of arteriovenous (AVM) from venous (VM) malformations as well as from healthy tissue by non-invasive, contrast-free, and radiation-free imaging of the lesions at the patients’ bedside.
