These COG features are divided into three broad categories: information storage and processing, cellular processes, and metabolism. The percentages of genes on each replicon belonging to each COG are presented, and the function of each COG is shown in Fig. 1. On chromosome II, the proportions of COG-P and COG-G are higher than those on chromosome I.
