Increased adiposity under high‐nutrient conditions increases leptin secretion from adipocytes, which in turn activates the kisspeptin‐HPG axis and leads to activation of the reproductive system. However, in a low nutritional state, the amount of fat decreases and the amount of leptin decreases, resulting in decreased activity of the kisspeptin‐HPG axis, which leads to a decrease in the reproductive system.
