Time and temperature dependence of the annealing activity of ORF1p. Aliquots from each reaction were removed at the indicated times after the addition of the radiolabeled oligonucleotide. Incubations were carried out at either 4 or 22°C. Reactions contained 1.8 nM [32P]29, 2 nM c29, and either no protein (A) or 3 or 13 nM ORF1p made from E. coli (B and C, respectively).
