Modified algorithm for ambulatory patient management for suspected COVID-19. aRisk factors: >65 years, hypertension, diabetes, cardiovascular disease, chronic respiratory disease, immunosuppression, cancer. bRed flags: cough and/or fever with worsening condition, dyspnea NYHA III, hemoptysis, decreased general condition, ECOG performance status 2–3, altered state of consciousness, syncope. cHospitalization criteria: pneumonia with CURB-65 ≥ 2, oxygen dependency, sustained tachypnea (RR >20 min), decompensated comorbidity/ies). dSeverity criteria: audible dyspnea, inability to speak (dyspnea NYHA stage IV), serious decline in general condition (performance status >3).
