The cumulative survival curves show the percentage of antidepressant prescriptions for new (Panel A) or ongoing (Panel B) antidepressant therapy that were not dispensed to the patient over 90 days, stratified by treatment indication. Prescriptions for new antidepressant therapy were defined as those where the patient did not have an antidepressant dispensed in the previous year. Prescriptions for ongoing therapy were defined as those were the patient had an antidepressant dispensed in the previous year and were issued for reasons such as switching to a different antidepressant, modifying the dosage, or renewing the prescription.
