Effects of the ethanolic extract of D. esculentum on Drosophila climbing ability. AD-free flies (elav-Gal4) cultured on a normal medium, and AD flies (APP-BACE-1) cultured on a medium containing deionized water (DI), 1% DMSO, 125 µg/mL and 250 µg/mL of D. esculentum and 10 µM donepezil for the indicated days were assessed for climbing ability. Values are mean ± SD of three assays and statistical significance was analyzed against AD flies (DI) by one-way ANOVA followed by Tukey’s test. *, p < 0.05; **, p < 0.01; ***, p < 0.001 and ****, p < 0.0001.
