EMSA of B/Da DNA binding. (A) B/Da binding to Sxlpe oligonucleotides. B/Da samples (0.1 U) were incubated with 32P-labeled oligonucleotides containing a CAATTG E box or sites 7, 2, 3, 8, 6, 4, and 6m1 (Table 1), and the protein-DNA complexes were resolved on a gel. (B) Binding competition experiments. Complexes were formed between B/Da (0.1 U) and 32P-labeled site 7 and challenged with 10-, 30-, and 100-fold molar excesses of the indicated unlabeled competitor oligonucleotides (Table 1). The site 7 oligonucleotide sequence was GATCAAGGCAGCTGCTATTGGATC.
