Cells treated with or without EgLCY dsRNA were mixotrophically grown under continuous light (40 μmol photons m−2 s−1) at 25°C for 6 d. Each carotenoid content per cell is presented as the relative value when total carotenoid content in the cells treated without dsRNA is 100%. Values are presented as the mean ± SD (n = 3).
