Participants	I) Area of the town which is a mixture of residential, industrial and commercial properties. C) Similar district in Nurtingen.
Interventions	I) Area‐wide traffic calming including reconstruction of major roads and renewal of residential roads. C) No area‐wide traffic calming.
Outcomes	Road traffic crash related deaths and injuries. All road traffic crashes. Pedestrian crashes.
