Faculty and student responses regarding grading scales. All students and faculty were asked about numerical and credit/no credit grading scales. Graph titles reflect wording asked of students, but wording was customized for students and faculty. For example, the statement for students was “Numerical grades motivate me to perform my personal best”, and the statement for faculty was “Numerical grades motivate students to perform their personal best”.
