Protein levels in IPF serum correlated to disease severity. Correlations between protein levels in serum from IPF patients and disease severity, defined by forced vital capacity (FVC, % predicted), total lung capacity (TLC, % predicted), diffusion capacity for carbon monoxide (DLCO, % predicted) and composite physiological index (CPI). Proteins are categorized in two main biological functions, tissue remodeling (R) and inflammation/chemotaxis (I). Three proteins have overlapping functions (O).
