Liver metabolites in weanling and adult control and tumour-bearing animals. Lipid metabolism-related metabolites: (a) hepatic fat; (b) 3-hydroxybutyrate; (c) betaine; (d) choline; (e) nicotinurate; (f) O-phosphocholine; (g) O-phosphoethanolamine. Energy status and nucleotide-related metabolites: (h) uridine; (i) NAD+; (j) xanthosine; (k) hypoxanthine (l) inosine. Glucose metabolism-related metabolites: (m) glycogen; (n) lactate.
