Phylogenetic relationship of SARS-CoV-2 post-mortem samples and samples from the Munich Metropolitean Area. Time-resolved maximum likelihood phylogeny of 2625 SARS-CoV-2 genomes from the larger Munich area obtained between March 2020 and February 2021. Nextstrain/Pangolin/WHO nomenclature clades are indicated above the main branches. The sequences of the cases in this study are indicated as colored dots. Cases with presence of SARS-CoV-2 RNA in the conjunctiva are marked by a black circle, and cases with detection of SARS-CoV-RNA in the vitreous body are indicated by a square.
