Comparison of the MCI subgroups using PET uptake data
Bar plots show the comparison of A -PET (A) and FDG-PET (C) uptake between the MCI-AD and MCI-CN subgroups. In both measurements, group differences were statistically significant. Pie charts depict the proportion of subjects in the MCI-AD and MCI-CN subgroups with normal and abnormal A -PET (B) and FDG-PET (D). The distributions of normal and abnormal PET uptake values were significantly different between the two subgroups (Aβ-PET: = 12.35, p < 0.001; FDG-PET: = 14.70, p < 0.001). Bar graphs depict means SEs. AD, Alzheimer’s disease; CN, cognitively normal; MCI, mild cognitive impairment; A -PET, beta-amyloid positron emission tomography; FDG-PET, fluorodeoxyglucose-positron emission tomography. ∗∗∗p < 0.001
