Reaction conditions: (1*) 0.8 g of hemp hurd stick, EtOH/H2O (65/35) 10 mL, 100 μL of 1% HCl, 175 °C, 3 h; (2*) 6.0 g of pulp, 300 mL of 1.7% NaClO2 solution, 300 mL of 2.7% NaOH and 7.5% of AcOH solution, 80 °C, 2 h.
