Silencing of KIF9-AS1 reduced the dextran sulfate sodium (DSS)-induced apoptosis of colonic cells. (a) The expression of KIF9-AS1 in HT-29 cells was examined by quantitative real time PCR (qRT-PCR). **P < 0.01 vs. control; (b) qRT-PCR was used to evaluate the transfection efficiency of si-NC and si-KIF9-AS1 in HT-29 cells. **P < 0.01 vs. si-NC; (c) flow cytometry assay was used to determine the apoptosis rate of HT-29 cells after DSS treatment. **P < 0.01 vs. si-NC; (d) the expression of apoptosis-related protein caspase-3 in DSS-induced HT-29 cells was detected by western blot. **P < 0.01 vs. si-NC.
