Nanoparticles incorporating fluorescent marker (FITC-NPs) were intravenously injected in mice after high-fat diet feeding (8 weeks) and angiotensin II infusion (4 weeks). Abdominal aorta was harvested 24 h later and distribution of nanoparticles was identified by immunofluorescent staining (FITC, Mac-3). Scale bars indicate 50 µm.
