The orifice of Stensen’s duct was identified using a head light and the tip of the catheter was introduced. The patient was asked to bite onto the cap of the Luer lock connector which is situated orthogonally to the main direction of the catheter (photo not from an actual pediatric case but made with an adult volunteer to depict the technique)
