Fluoxetine and vortioxetine decrease the expression of iNOS and Nox2 mRNAs. Effects induced by i.c.v. administration of Aβ oligomers (Aβ + VEH) in absence or presence of FLX10, VTX5, or VTX10 on (A) iNOS and (B) Nox2 mRNAs expression measured by qRT-PCR. The abundance of each mRNA of interest was expressed relative to the abundance of GAPDH-mRNA, as an internal control. As a negative control, a reaction in absence of cDNA (no template control, NTC) was performed. qRT-PCR amplifications were performed at least in triplicate (mean of three to six determinations).
