The overview of our study design aiming at revealing the bidirectional relations between C-reactive protein (CRP) and lung cancer. Two hundred and four CRP-specific single nucleotide polymorphisms (SNPs) (originated from East Asian, Hispanic/Latin American, European, African American/Afro-Caribbean, and South Asian ancestries), and 20 lung cancer-specific SNPs (including lung adenocarcinoma and squamous cell lung cancer) were applied as instrument variables respectively to evaluate the bidirectional causal relation.
