Effects of meldonium pretreatment on the lipopolysaccharide (LPS)-induced decrease in (A) ejection fraction and (B) fractional shortening. Pretreatment with meldonium significantly attenuated the development of the inflammation-induced decrease in the ejection fraction and fractional shortening of the left ventricle.
