Oxy-CPP resulted in alterations in plasticity, stress and associated kinase markers in both males and females and are congruent with the sex-specific changes seen in the opioid system. The changes observed may suggest why CIS males did not acquire OXY-CPP. Arrows indicated direction of change. Placement mRNA and proteins bubbles indicate the regional changes.
