X-irradiation under static conditions does not modulate the mRNA expression of anti-oxidative enzymes in HMVEC cells nor PBL adhesion. (A) HMVEC were plated and incubated for 24 h. Medium was changed 24 h before irradiation and TNF-α treatment and ROS measurement and RNA isolation were performed at 24 h thereafter. (B) mRNA expression of anti-oxidative factors was evaluated by qPCR (mean + SEM; n = 5–6 * p < 0.05; Kruskal-Wallis test vs. 0 Gy). (C) Intracellular ROS were measured by flow cytometry (mean + SEM; n = 12). (D) Schematic setup of adhesion experiments.
