User-testing injectable medicines guidelines for nurses reduces the number of medication errors made when giving intravenous medicines to hospital inpatients.
As a result, the cost of the user-testing process is likely to be outweighed by the increased health of patients and reduced health service costs for treating the harm caused by medication errors.
Therefore, user-testing of guidelines for injectable medicines is a relatively low-cost and cost-effective intervention.
