RSME is comprised of model specifications and a simulation environment. Parameters include the visual stimulation pattern, cellular morphology and biophysics, and network organization. Simulation parameters are parsed and visualized within the modeling environment and used to simulate over NEURON. RSME permits the utilization of signal processing for local optimization (e.g., via a genetic algorithm).
