Macroscopic and microscopic images (PAS staining, 200‐fold magnification) after infection of the full skin models with T. rubrum, E. floccosum, S. brevicaulis, and C. albicans in comparison to the untreated and 1% SDS‐treated full skin model. The fungal outgrowth of dermatophytes and mold at 72 h is signified with black arrows. The yeast had spread widely in the skin model and pseudo mycelia growth was even macroscopically recognizable on the surface of the skin model (blue arrows).
