Overall configuration of IGHC genes identified in the rainbow trout genome assemblies USDA_OmykA_1.1 (Arlee strain) and Omyk_1.0 (Swanson strain). Rainbow trout IGH loci on chromosome 13 (IGHA) and on chromosome 12 (IGHB) are shown in comparison to IGHC genes that were previously characterized in Salmo salar (ICSASG_v2). The boxes represent the IGHM, IGHD and IGHT genes annotated. The number of CH exons is indicated between brackets and the transcriptional direction is shown by arrowheads.
