The Kruskal–Wallis test was used to compare the median values among participants in the different groups.

Uric acid quartiles: Group 1 (SUA ≤ 3.55 mg/dL), Group 2 (3.55 < SUA ≤ 4.29 mg/dL), Group 3 (4.29 < SUA ≤ 5.23 mg/dL), and Group 4 (SUA > 5.23 mg/dL).
