Time course study of biocompatibility of DOX (1.25 μg/mL), GCD (25 μg/mL) and GCD@DOX (25 μg/mL) in HEp-2 cells. The cells were untreated or treated with DOX, GCD or GCD@DOX for 24 h, 48 h and 72 h. The data show the % of live cells compared to the untreated ones. The cellular proliferation index (%) was determined on the basis of ATP level as described in Materials and Methods. GraphPad Prism 6 software was used for data analysis and graphical representation. The assay was performed as means of triplicates ±SD. Statistical significance was tested by one-way ANOVA analysis assay in triplicate. (*** p < 0.001).
