Curcumin which is found in the rhizome of Curcuma longa (turmeric) as a strong natural polyphenol, has a number of biological activities, including antioxidant (could inhibit ROS-generating enzymes) and anti-inflammatory (could block NF-κB activation) properties, anti-cancer, anti-obesity, and anti-infertility effects [9].
