The prophylaxis regimen with FT reduced A. baumanni loads after infection with antibiotic-resistant A. baumanni clinical isolate 52TS19. Balb/ c mice were infected with 107 CFU/mouse of A. baumanni 52TS19. Mice were treated with 250 mg kg−1 of FT per os once a day for 4 days before infection. Bacterial loads in lungs, spleen, and blood of animals were analyzed at 2 (a), 4 (b), 14 (c), and 20 (d) hours. Diamonds—mice not treated with FT, circles—mice treated with FT. The horizontal line represents the median CFU per group, each symbol represents one mouse. *p < 0.05 relative to the control group at the corresponding time points
