A summary of this study. We suggest that PDH inhibition either through chemical inhibitor (Devimistat) or shPDHA1, leads to EMT-like phenotypes in lung cancer cells. These phenotypes include an increase in migration capability and invasion. Furthermore, PDH inhibition confers to resistance to several chemotherapeutic drugs, and this can be reverted via inhibition TGFβ pathway. Created with BioRender.
