N-Acetylglucosamine and mannose are represented by GlcNAc and Man, respectively, and numbers indicate the positions of the glycosidic linkages for mannose residues. The Man₆ to Man₉ glycoforms of RNase B are formed by the addition of further mannose units [all in the α-(1→2) configuration] to the outer three residues occurring in the Man₅ glycoform.
