The pathways regulated by microRNAs in morphine-mediated apoptosis of macrophages. After morphine treatment, the expression level of miR-338-3p in peritoneal macrophages increased significantly, which decreased the expression level of Sox4, leading to the increase of caspase-3 expression level, and then promoting cell apoptosis. MicroRNA-873 inhibits morphine-induced macrophage apoptosis by increasing the expression of A20. MicroRNA-219-5p inhibits morphine-induced apoptosis by targeting WEE1, the key cell cycle regulator.
