Secretion of Th2 cytokines (IL-4 and IL-5) was not observed with the MIL-100(Fe), MIL-100(Al) and ZIF-8 (Zn) NPs. The values correspond to the variation of the cytokines concentration (in pg mL−1) compared with the negative control (10, 102, 103, 104 or >105 times) obtained from 3 different donors (1/3, 2/3 or 3/3), with the representation of the activation shown in the positive control (LPS and PHA, which acted as inducers of the cytokines production).
