Transmission electron microscopy (TEM) of aerosolized DCB230 particles. A: DCB230 particles were aerosolized and collected on precoated carbon Formvar copper grids for 5 min and characterized for shape, agglomeration, and structure using TEM. Individual particles were rounded and below the 20 nm range, classifying them as ultrafine particulate matter, but formed agglomerates which were around 100–200 nm, and still within the ultrafine range.
