The Divorce Process and Child Adaptation Trajectory Typology (DPCATT) Model. Note. In this model, the trajectory lines refer to children’s adaptation as an average of adjustment in various domains because: a interparental conflict has comprehensively negative influences on various aspects of child development, although the magnitudes may be varied (Davies & Cummings, 2015; Grych & Fincham, 2001; Ran et al., 2021; van Eldik et al., 2020); and b this review represents a very first step to construct a conceptual model of pre/postdivorce interparental conflict and child adaptation trajectories. We acknowledge the model depicted above may be slightly different across child development outcomes, but addressing this question is beyond the scope of our review
