Mechanical stimulation induced apoptosis and mediated the expression of HOTAIR/miR-221 in C28/I2 cells. (a) The MTT assays were conducted after 0, 6 h, 12 h, and 12 h of mechanical stimulation. (b) The apoptosis was determined by flow cytometer, and the apoptotic rates (c) were calculated. The genes expression of HOTAIR (d), BBC3 (e), and caspase-3 (f) were detected by qRT-PCR. (g) The proteins expression of BBC3 and cleaved caspase-3 were determined by western blot. (h) The fold changes of protein expression were calculated.
