The four panels are in wall-eyed stereo view. Panels A and B show our new proposed refined ABCA1 model. Panels C and D show the original published model (PDB 5XJY). Two Threonine residues located on the precise axis of pseudo-symmetry at the crossover (panel A, labeled T1242) and crossback (panel B, labeled T2211) are highly conserved amongst all members of the ABC-A subfamily (see Fig 4).
