Structural damage and increased demyelination of the optic nerve. (A) H&E stainings were performed after six and eight weeks to evaluate the morphology of the optic nerve. (B) The optic nerves of OSE mice showed a significantly elevated H&E score compared to the control group at both ages. (C) LFB-stained myelin sheaths of the control and OSE group are displayed.
